I am delighted to offer interior decorating consultant services to clients in New York City and virtually anywhere.

Pricing starts at $800 + 15% commission on purchases, for two weeks of consultations.

HOW IT WORKS - The Basics:

1. Let’s meet: We meet at your NYC apartment or home, or virtually from anywhere, and you tell me your decorating goals.

2. Let’s do it: If we’re a match, we’ll agree on a start date and I’ll give my rate based on the time and scope of your project.

3. I get to work: I put together several options for your project and send them your way. Enough to have different directions and options, not too many that the choice becomes overwhelming. I am always on hand to give you my thoughts and opinions, but the final decision for your home is yours.

4. We meet in person, on the phone, or over video call, to discuss the options. You let me know what you’ve decided, and I arrange purchasing and manage delivery to your home. Depending on the scope we agreed to, you can give me your thoughts on the options, and I will find additional options based on your notes. We can also agree to expand the scope of the project anytime.

5. Welcome home: Your treasures arrive to your address. In NYC, I offer installation services a la carte, or you can install on your own.


It’s all about what you want and need. I am your partner and design advocate, taking the stress out of shopping and sourcing for your home. I want you to find the best, most useful, comfortable, and beautiful options for your home based on your style and lifestyle, on your budget, and on your timeline.


HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT THAN A TRADITIONAL INTERIOR DESIGNER?

Good question.

I only give you want you need, how you want it. I offer my client solutions from the practical to the sublime, with options at any budget to make your home a lasting place of comfort and beauty, however you define it. I am a problem solver and a solution finder. My motivation is to help you attain your decorating goals, not matter how much you spend or where you purchase from. I’m not working towards photographing your home for my portfolio. I’m working towards making your home a place that reflects you, that you love, where you feel good. In short, when you’re happy, I’m happy.

Instead of a full scheme, I also offer modular design solutions based on what you need - giving your living room life with new pillows, while using your existing rug, for example. I am not trying to “redo” your home, but enhance it. I also offer practical and readymade solutions; not everything needs to be custom made. Finding already-made great products can reduce costs greatly, reserving any kind of custom-made or bespoke items for if and when it really matters.

Like an interior designer, I receive trade pricing from many vendors. These savings get passed onto my clients, just like an interior designer’s. I also get access to trade-only vendors.

I have a unique personal story and professional background that give me access and insight into direct sources of handmade, vintage, human-made and authentic treasures, from decorative and budget-friendly, to collectible and investment pieces. I believe that each person is and should be unique, and the decor in their home should reflect that. I believe in authentic, unique pieces that have a story, too. I know the long-lasting value of things with soul, and I know how to find them.

I source the rugs, pillows, textiles, object, art, bedding, furnishings, dishware, kitchenware, lighting, and more to decorate your home at your budget and in harmony with your style and lifestyle.

I have a background in Turkish rugs and Central Asian textiles, and I love playing with color, blending styles, vintage and new, using patterns, solids, texture to find a unique mix that is yours, be it serene and modern or electic and colorful. My decorating sources from great international dealers and local sources alike.

My expertise and interests also run towards the handmade and the human-made, be it hand-printed or handwoven textiles, or art made by real, live people. I know the cost of the human-made, but I also know the lasting value. I have sources that are direct, without the middle-dealers that take up so much of the price of the work itself.

No project is too small. Every project is essential to me. Your home is essential to me.

After an initial in-person (NYC only) or video chat meet and greet to determine the scope and timeline of the project, I get to work. I will present you several options for what you are looking for for your home. You can choose to purchase the items, or not, or we can continue looking for additional options after I get notes from you.

My goal is help you have an as-stress-less-as-possible decorating experience, taking the legwork and the guesswork out of sourcing and shopping, and giving you great options so you can make the best decisions for you. It’s my job to find you options you love.
