NEW LISTING // Vintage Karapinar Stripe Kilim / 5'9"x7'8"/175x233cm

0.00

Karapinar, in Central Anatolia's Konya district, is a village famous for its high-quality wool and high-quality weaving. These gorgeous, natural beauty stripe kilims are iconic Karapinar: Kilims made from the weaver's own animals, and made for their own use - not for the commercial market. True village kilims, they reflect the dimensions of the loom, the colors of the animal's wool (the wool is undyed) and the prowess of the weaver within her community.

Bold and beautiful wide, even stripes in blackest-brown, white, copper-brown, and grey natural, undyed wools. A beautiful piece on its own right, also great for layering.
