Karapinar, in Central Anatolia's Konya district, is a village famous for its high-quality wool and high-quality weaving. These gorgeous, natural beauty stripe kilims are iconic Karapinar: Kilims made from the weaver's own animals, and made for their own use - not for the commercial market. True village kilims, they reflect the dimensions of the loom, the colors of the animal's wool (the wool is undyed) and the prowess of the weaver within her community.
Stripe runner in blackest darkest brown undyed wool and pale, pinkish brown copper stripes. This lovely piece also has warming abrash between the stripes. A beautiful piece on its own right, also perfect for layering.
